Meeting all your Pilates and Physiotherapy needs! With eleven studios in Auckland, we offer group Pilates classes as well as private one-on-one sessions. Registered Physiotherapy, Sports Masseuse and Acupuncture experts are also available.
What is Pilates?
Pilates teaches you how to use the correct muscles necessary for ideal posture and trunk stability, how to strengthen relatively weak muscles, lengthen short muscles and improve joint flexibility in natural fluid movements.
How to get started
Before taking part in classes or private sessions all of our clients have a one-on-one introductory session. In this session your instructor will go over muscle activation, positioning, and the types of classes offered. During your intro you will also have an opportunity to have a go at exercises both on the mat and on the reformer machines, and discuss any concerns you may have with an instructor before joining classes. This session can be with a physiotherapist if you have any pain or injuries. Our physiotherapist will be able to teach you how you may need to modify some exercises in class. Both our instructors and/or our Physios can discuss which class type is best for you or if private sessions may be more appropriate to help you achieve your fitness goals. The no-obligation introductory session is the best way to get a taste test of pilates & find out which options will be best for you.
